Armageddon
This is a semi-hollow (chambered) body
2 quad rail humbuckers (each with it's own volume & tone
control),
Multi switch for coil taps, etc. The circles on the horn will be
sound holes.
It will be white with a thin black pinstripe around the edge.
and a thin black pinstripe lightning bolt up top! Black
hardware.
(bridge, pup rings & knobs are only placed for reference and
will probably change)
OK. An update.
Here
goes:
I finished the chambers. Made the sound holes.
Cut
the Neck pocket and mounted the neck.
Made center lines front and back. I'm still deciding where the knobs will go.
Waiting on pups (quad rails) and bridge and pots before I
drill.

depth check on the chamber
OOPS, he's just watching the Girl...
Another Update. Here it is so far.
It's almost finished being primered,
and the hardware is layed on for the photo.
The inside edges of the sound holes
will be painted black and the chamber
visable underneath is gold foil conducting tape.
UPDATE:
A new finish - almost ready to solder the circuits!
The
Delta Box guitar is an 'Old Blues' inspired instrument.
Constructed of
Poplar and Birch with a Burl Maple cap (not shown), it also boasts a
double broomstick neck.
Tone is provided by two lipstick pickups. It
has a Rickenbacker bridge and a fancy brass tailpiece.
Each pickup has
it's own volume and tone control topped with brass dome knobs.
The
tuners, jack and strap pins are also brass. Rounding out the hardware
are brass corner protectors.
UPDATE
I added a curly Birch top. She's almost ready to solder all the circuitry.
Stay Tuned!
The
Delta Box guitar is about to embark on 'The Delta Box Blog Tour'.
It will be played by select guitarists across the USA.
Each
artist will document their performance with stills, video and audio
recordings and write a description of their part of the guitar's
adventure. After signing the back, the Delta Box will be shipped to
another guitarist for the next leg of the journey.
The entire adventure will be posted on this website.
This
is a new project. Things could change anytime. I like the
Tele bridge (the Badass bridge is only there as a placeholder for a
string retainer). Right now an EMG and a dual rail humbucker are
sitting on it, but I haven't made up my mind yet.
I do know it will be all black with black hardware. Like all my projects, it will have metal pup rings and knobs.
I'm still undecided on hardware. Like most of my
Cigar Box Guitars, it will take on a life of its own
and I won't know what it will be until it's done.
Want it? Maybe you have a box we can give a voice?
How about a Cookie Tin or Lunchbox or???

a client to specify pickup & hardware
configuration and finish. This one may have a pickguard.
Poplar and Oak body, great grain. It could still be made a
leftie! Act fast...
Start
working out now - this is one heavy beast! Matching headstock.
The plate came from a Fire Truck toolbox - the REAL STUFF!
I'll wait for a client before we spec it out.
It screams metal - how 'bout a chain strap?
